Women’s Programs Association (WPA) held a three-day annual retreat bringing together staff members from the Head Office and the different centers to engage in team building, conflict transformation, and strategic planning. Facilitated by consultant Aida Hussein and co-trainer Sali Charaf, the sessions combined theoretical and practical approaches to explore team dynamics, personal and organizational challenges, internal communication, and values-based leadership.
The retreat involved interactive exercises such as the River of Life, Tree of Values, and Conflict Game. Participants shared personal insights, highlighted achievements and challenges in their areas, and co-created recommendations around participatory approaches, team capacity building, and staff mental health. The retreat culminated in a comprehensive action plan to guide WPA’s internal development and organizational transformation.
