SUPPORT COMMUNITY-BASED INITIATIVES TO PREVENT AND RESPOND TO GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE

The main objective of the project is to foster a protective environment by actively engaging the community in practices that effectively reduce vulnerability to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).

Target: 825 women for awareness sessions

Location: Burj El Barajneh, Wavel, Beddawi, Nahr El Bared, Ein El Hilweh, Burj El Shemali, Rashidieh and El Buss centers.

Target:120 men for the masculinity sessions

Location: Burj El Barajneh, Beddawi and Wavel centers

Outcomes

120 young men participated in the masculinity sessions, of which 75% improved knowledge and attitudes towards gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and violence.
Eight videos were produced.
825 women, girls, men, and boys in nine camps participated in awareness-raising sessions on women’s rights
