PREVENTION OF GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE THROUGH COMMUNITY-BASED INITIATIVES

The objective of the project is to enhance the access of individuals at risk and survivors to high-quality prevention and response services. This is accomplished through several key activities, including participation in life skills sessions, individual and group psychological support sessions, and awareness campaigns focused on gender-based violence (GBV), child protection, and family law.

  • 400 women and girls for life skill sessions:
  • 1310 women and girls for individual and group psychosocial support.

Locations:  Burj El Barajneh, Wavel, Beddawi, Nahr El Bared, Ein El Hilweh, Burj El Shemali, Rashidieh and El Buss centers.

Outcomes

  • 467 women and girls participated in life skills sessions.
  • 1,108 participants benefited from individual and group psychological and social support (PSS).
  • 850 women and girls were sensitized to gender-based violence (GBV).
