STARS 2 (Supporting and Tutoring at risk students in UNRWA Schools)

The STARS project in Beddawi camp is an educational project aimed at supporting Palestinian refugee children through remedial classes, psychosocial support, and community engagement activities. It focuses on enhancing students’ academic performance, emotional well-being, and social inclusion, especially for those at risk of dropping out.

Outcomes

Improved Academic Performance: Many children participating in the project showed better results in core subjects like Arabic, English, and Math, helping them reintegrate or stay in school.

Enhanced Psychosocial Well-being: Through structured PSS sessions, children developed stronger coping skills, emotional resilience, and positive behaviors, contributing to a safer and more nurturing school environment.

Increased Parental and Community Involvement: The project fostered stronger collaboration between parents, teachers, and social workers, encouraging a more holistic support system for the children’s education and overall development.
